I took a walk in the forest yesterday. It was a rainy day and so there was a lot of mist around and my feet were squeltching when I got home. The rain was fairly heavy... it pretty much poured all day and all night. The Crocuses are done after that amount of rainfall, mostly because it was so heavy. But the the Pussy Paws are doing really well..... best of all though, look what I found.....
Aren't they pretty? Calypso Orchids don't last very long and more often than not they are so short lived that getting an opportunity to view them in their natural place is next to impossible. I've found them before and tried to transplant them but it just never works. They grow where they grow and that's that. But when you find them..... oooh la la!
